beginning of the color purple

today we read the Color Purple and I enjoyed it. I enjoy reading a book that had a movie and being able to compare what happened in each. The book is crazy though. Something I cant relate too, but I see it alot:

Today we did a kahoot on current events. Which I really liked and I learned some things I didnt know. Was kind of mad Im behind but Its my fault so im not tripping

Kahoot

Today the class did a kahoot. However, I wasn’t here to read the story, so I couldnt participate. I kind of wanted too because it was a little intense.

textual evidence

today we read an article about why teenagers are less likely to drive now. Which I agree with because right now im in the process of getting my license. Which includes me doing Joshua’s Law and I really wouldnt have finished if I didnt pay for it.

10/12

Today we had an exit slip, where it was kind of confusing.. I didnt really know how to answer it because I didnt know what he was looking for. So i guess now, I will be spending time trying to think about and evaluate this question.

Mother to Son

Today we read a poem by Langston Hughes that I think everybody could relate too. If its not one thing its another literally. Everybody deals with situations, however its up to you how you’re going to evolve and move past that. Even if you do at all, but honestly sometimes we just want to chill. Why does everything always have to be hustle, hustle, grind and get money. Can the world just stop rotating for one day?

Reading our poems

Today in class, the entire class read their Dream Poems. I liked everybody’s poem. Nobody had the same exact dream or desire. The words were nice and it was very creative. My class usually always have creative stories and poems

movie vs play

Today we watched the movie “Fences” and compared it to the play we have been reading. Most of the scenes were almost exactly alike, but I prefer the movie. Its more emotions and you can actually feel the pain and everything else. I don’t always prefer the movie, but in this case I did.

fences 2.0

today we read the ending of “Fences” and I was Rose. Which I enjoyed, I think I did good. We also answered questions on the book and ai love the way some of my classmates can articulate and answer a question. I think we could have great conversations and debates as a class if it was needed. The ones who speak seem to be emotionally intelligent and I like that
